All About Me
WHAT I COME FROM
As a goal-oriented and personable young woman I value the personal story I am creating as the years go by.
CORINNEÂ FINDLAY
AN ASPIRING PUBLIC RELATIONS PROFESSIONAL
It all began my junior year of high school when I decided to write for my high school newspaper: The Roxbury Review. I had been praised for my writing skills for as long as I can remember, and truly enjoyed to write as well. All my life I have loved to meet new people, keep busy and writing assignments growing up were always "my thing." Going into my senior year of high school I decided to take an introduction to television production course, and from day one I was hooked. I knew communications was what I wanted to pursue in college thanks to my high school media teacher, Mrs. Burleigh.

August 2016 rolled around and I was officially off to college at Penn State University. I was directly admitted to the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and was on track to pursue a broadcast journalism degree. I quite honestly didn't have a full understanding of what the major coursework would consist of. However, it seemed similar to what I enjoyed in high school, so I stuck with it. During my first semester, I was fortunate enough to take an elective course with the dean of the college entitled "Build Your Media Brand." I was fascinated with the idea of being able to represent brands I am passionate about and persuade others to fall in love with them as well. I loved the idea of building and managing relationships with clients in a fast-paced setting. Finally, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: public relations.

Interests
WHAT I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT
I believe a person can’t be fully defined by a CV or resume, which is why I’ve included the interests, hobbies, and personal activities that fill my spare time and make me who I am.
FAMILY & FRIENDS
THOSE WHOÂ MEAN THE MOST
Growing up with three younger brothers I learned how to have thick skin and be a role model from a very young age. Will, Jack and Cal are some of the biggest blessings in my life along with my extraordinary parents who I love dearly. Life has also blessed me with incredibly special friends from my hometown in Roxbury, NJ and from college. In all I do in life, I put my loved ones and dear friends before anything, because they have truly made me the person I am today.

PHILANTHROPY
HELPING OTHERS IN NEED
From a young age, I have upheld a passion for helping others in my community and beyond. Thankfully, I have been able to continue this passion of mine through the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON), the largest student-run philanthropy event in the world. Since the beginning of my time at Penn State I have contributed to raising $20,197,1424 for Four Diamonds, THON's sole beneficiary that provides emotional and financial support to families impacted by childhood cancer. I have also participated in other community service events to aid domestic violence awareness, hurricane relief funds and American Red Cross.
TRAVEL
EXPLORING THE WORLD AROUND ME
I have always had a special place in my heart for spontaneous adventures. Whether it may be a hike in the woods, a trip to New York City or random walks on the beach I genuinely enjoy exploring new places. During the spring of 2019, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and traveled to 10 countries in Europe. I have also explored amazing cities in the U.S. including Nashville and San Diego. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to visit new places and learn about a variety of cultures, cuisine, and language.
